The Workshop of Computational
Intelligence for Health-Tech (CI4HT)
In conjunction with the IEEE ISCBI 2025
Macau, China, February 14-16, 2025
The Workshop of Computational Intelligence for Health-Tech" is a key event under ISCBI 2025, aimed at bringing together data miners, informaticists, data scientists, AI researchers, and clinical researchers to explore computational intelligence applications in e-health technology. This workshop focuses on cutting-edge techniques in data mining, AI, machine learning, and deep learning to analyze and manage extensive biomedical and healthcare data. The broader context includes artificial intelligence, information retrieval, knowledge extraction using biomedical image analysis, and natural language processing. We welcome submissions that address innovative methods for mining, summarizing, and integrating diverse and vast structured and unstructured biomedical and healthcare data, advancing the field of e-health technology.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Computational intelligence methods (e.g., classification, clustering, anomaly detection, topic modeling) applied to big biomedical data in electronic health records (EHR).
Deep learning techniques for analyzing clinical data within EHR systems.
Utilizing large language models to interpret clinical textual data in the EHR.
Data preprocessing and cleansing strategies for handling noise and missing data in large biomedical or population health datasets.
Algorithms to accelerate the analysis of extensive biomedical data.
Innovative visualization techniques to aid the querying and analysis of clinical data.
Application of statistics and probability in large-scale biomedical data mining.
Evidence-based medicine practices enhanced by computational intelligence.
Time series analysis for biomedical data.
Advanced methods for mining medical image data.
Data mining in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Pharmacogenomics data analysis using AI methods.
Detection and analysis of biological markers.
Integrating biological and clinical data for translational research.
Computational approaches to genetics, genomics, and proteomics.
Multimodal data mining techniques.
Analyzing social media data for healthcare applications using computational intelligence.

Submission and Procedures
Paper submissions will be done through the IEEE ISCBI Conference Zmeeting submission system. To submit a paper, visit the following webpage: https://www.iscbi.com/sub.html
Paper submissions should be limited to a maximum of five (5) pages, in the IEEE format (https://www.iscbi.com/static/file/template.docx), including figures, all of them in the US letter format pages. Ready versions of accepted papers exceeding five (5) pages, will be allowed pending payment of overlength charges (50$ for each additional page). All accepted workshop papers will be published in formal proceedings by the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library. One paper will be selected for the best paper award, which will be awarded at the workshop.
*Online Attendance Option*: In light of potential hesitancy for international traveling, we are considering providing an online attendance option for the ISCBI workshops. This would cater to those who may face travel restrictions or have concerns about in-person attendance.
